PSP Web Browser

With the build in Wi-Fi, the Playstation Portable allows you to play games with other PSP users.  The PSP is able to connect to the internet but no Web browser has been made available by Sony at this point.  Wipeout Pure, a PSP game, contains access to a page containing game updates.  By making a few small modifications to your DNS settings, you'll be able to surf the web in no time on your Playstation Portable.  A Wi-fi hotspot (wireless internet) needs to be avaiable to make this possible.

  • On your PSP, go to settings and turn WLAN Power Safe off!
  • Make sure the Wi-Fi switch on the left side of your PSP is on.
  • Go to network settings on your PSP to create a new connection.
  • Select infrastructure mode. Create and name your new connection.
  • Enter SSID or name of the Wi-Fi hotspot with password if needed.
  • Select the custom address setting.  Leave the IP Address Setting to Automatic (unless static IP addresses are being used).
  • Select Manual for DNS Setting and enter as the primary DNS 66.235.209.11 which gives you access to our portal pages.
  • Save your settings and you're done!
  • Start up "Wipeout Pure" and go to the download section which should now show our website!

Our Portal allows you to add an unlimited amount of website to your PSP.  You can surf sites, read emails, play games, chat, add a calculator, a memopad and more!  Due to the limited javascript and html support, not all website will work.  Website with very large pictures and sites using frames won't work either.

Internet slow?
On your PSP, go to settings and turn WLAN Power Safe off.
